Shannon’s Works For Me Wednesday this week is all about 5 ingredient cooking. I have to share two recipes…the first is SOOOO easy, it’s the best flavor you can imagine and people LOVE it:

Baked Italian Chicken

Italian Dressing

Honey

Chicken (cut into strips)

Lay your cut chicken onto a cookie sheet with a lip on it and pour italian dressing over it. Squeeze honey in strips all over the chicken and put in oven at 350° for approximately 30 minutes uncovered. The honey will caramelize a bit on the chicken and it is amazing!!!

Strawberry Poppyseed Salad

this is a family favorite!
Spinach leaves or Spring Mix

Red Onion

Sliced Strawberries

Almonds

Kraft Creamy Poppyseed Salad Dressing

Put all ingredients together and you have an amazing salad! It is sure to be a hit because it’s both pretty and delicious!

It is a busy time of year for our family, the kiddos spend time with their favorite nanny (GREAT friend of mine), my parents come up, my bro & sil come down, (WE MISS YOU EUROPE SIS!) and we sell some serious fireworks! 4 years ago, I wouldn’t have had a CLUE the difference between a firework and a firecracker! She did it! Girlfriend went to camp all by herself and is now home safely and Mama is no longer freaking out wondering what Oldest Girl is doing every second of every minute of every hour…you get the point!  I have been missing my stinky girl!! I AM SO PROUD OF HER FOR GOING, HAVING A GREAT TIME and starting a new tradition of Church Camp! YEAH OLDEST GIRL!!!! I love you!

So my WFMW has been on the tip of my tongue for a bit of forever and when you see what it is, you are so going to crack up because it’s almost silly…

I am tired of wasting spaghetti sauce. T.I.R.E.D. tired! So I have a new solution, when you finish cooking your noodles, and you are trying to get the last bit of sauce out of the jar, put your some of your cooked noodles into the jar and put the lid back on…You do the hokey pokey and you shake it all about and WALLLAAAAH you have use ALL of the sauce in your jar and everyone is happy because the temperature of the sauce is PERFECT for small children So that is my WFMW, to view some more great ideas, visit Shannon’s blog!

Today could have been a sad and horrible day as hubby and I had a disagreement of epic proportions (that equalled to neither one of us really having a problem just our major grumpiness getting the best of us) which caused us to skip our Sunday School class picnic (yes, I was sad sad sad)…however, after we put the kids down for a nap and had a decent conversation about what was really going on, things started looking up!

So we blew up the slip and slide and went nuts!  Normally we just let the kids play on the slides and just sit around and talk while they completely soak themselves and attempt to soak us. Not today, today we got down and dirty with that thing! IT WAS SOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! We went so fast and so far on that slip and slide, it was HILARIOUS!!!!

So all’s well that ends well in our home…and Hubby and I are friends again

The rolly thing that holds the toilet paper roll onto the toilet paper roll holder gets…wait for it….FLUSHED down the toilet. Nice.

Apparently my children are confused as to what “flushed down the toilet” actually means…found the rolly thing and it is back in it’s rightful place HOLDING THE TOILET PAPER UP! HA!
